Does the SoterCoach Hub Need Wi-Fi?
No — the Hub is connected via SIM card by default and does not require Wi-Fi for regular operation.
However, if your site has poor cellular coverage, you can connect the Hub to a Wi-Fi network to ensure faster and more reliable data sync.
How to Connect the Hub to Wi-Fi
- 1Swipe up on the tablet screen to open settings.
- 2Tap "Wi-Fi connection."
- 3Select your network.
- 4Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap Connect.
- 5Press the back arrow on the bottom of the screen.
- 6Tap the SoterCoach Hub app to return to the main interface.
Duplicate Worker Profiles (and How to Fix Them)
Sometimes you may see two profiles for the same worker. This usually happens when:
- A worker mistypes their login during check-in, creating a duplicate.
To resolve this, email help@soteranalytics.com and include:
- The names of the two profiles to merge
- Any relevant context
Soter support will take care of the rest.
If a Device Isn't Beeping
Here's what to check:
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| Was the device scanned at shift start? | If not, it won't activate. |
| Is it the first day of the program? | Feedback starts on day 2. |
| Is it charged? | Hold the button for 2 seconds: 1 beep = 25%, 2 = 50%, 3 = 75%, 4 = 100%. |
| Still not working? | Hold the button for 40 seconds to restart. Wait for the startup melody. |
