The Soter Device, Hub, and Attachments

Overview

This guide covers the core hardware that powers your SoterCoach program: the Soter Device, SoterCoach Hub, and their related attachments. These tools work together to collect ergonomic movement data, provide worker feedback, and upload insights to your dashboard — all without needing a phone or Wi-Fi connection.

🔧 The SoterCoach Device

  • Use: Worn during either the back or shoulder program.
  • Battery Life: Up to 20 days.
  • Design: Lightweight, water-resistant, drop-resistant, pacemaker-safe, and suitable for all body types.
  • Sensors: Includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and pressure sensor — no microphone, no GPS.
  • Privacy: Does not track location or audio; only ergonomic movement data is collected.
  • Cleaning: Wipe with sanitizing wipes (avoid the USB slot).

🧠 How It Works

  • The device provides haptic feedback (beeps + vibrations) to guide workers in real-time.
  • Data is collected passively throughout the shift.
  • No Wi-Fi or phone is needed while wearing the device.

📦 The SoterCoach Hub

  • Capacity: Charges and stores up to 40 devices.
  • Interface: Built-in touchscreen tablet and scanner.
  • Check-In/Check-Out: Enables fast, autonomous user interaction — scan and go.
  • Connectivity: Uses SIM card by default; Wi-Fi optional.
  • Syncing: Transfers ergonomic data to the Soter Dashboard at end-of-shift.

⚙️ Setting Up the Hub

  1. Unbox & Plug In
Open the case and plug the Hub into a power outlet.
  2. Power On the Tablet
If it doesn't auto-start, press the power button on the tablet's upper right side.
  3. Insert Devices into Charging Ports
Wait for a beep sound confirming the connection.
  4. Keep the Hub Charged
It must remain plugged in to ensure continuous syncing during the program.
