Changing a dashboard's theme

Every dashboard follows a theme: a consistent set of colours, fonts and component styles. Themes keep your dashboards clean and readable, rather than looking like a random mix of colours.

Available themes

Soter Indigo (default)Soter's own design style
Soter ClassicFormal and understated
Soter NexusLuminous and precise

  • Soter Nexus

Each theme has its own colours and fonts.

New dashboards use Soter Indigo unless you ask for something different. To see the list at any time, ask SoterAI “Which themes are available?”

Change the theme

Themes are changed through the chat; there's no theme menu. In the dashboard's chat, ask, for example:

“Switch this dashboard to Soter Classic.”
“Go back to the default theme.”

Only the look changes: colours, fonts and card style. The layout, components and data stay the same, and the theme is saved with the dashboard.

The design must be unlocked to change the theme. If it's locked, SoterAI tells you and leaves the theme as it is. Unlock the dashboard, then ask again. See Locking a dashboard.

Create your own theme

To match your organisation's branding, ask SoterAI in the dashboard's chat to create a custom theme. Give it your brand colours, for example as hex codes, or share your logo, a link to your website or a screenshot. For example:

“Create a custom theme with our brand colours: main colour #E30613, second colour #1D1D1B.”

SoterAI builds the theme and applies it to the dashboard. Your main colour is used for headline figures and chart marks, and SoterAI picks matching background, card and border tones. The layout, components and data stay the same. As with the built-in themes, the design must be unlocked.

Things to know

There's no live preview

SoterAI applies the theme, and you see the result in the dashboard.

Themes apply per dashboard

A custom theme is saved with the dashboard you created it for. Saving a theme to reuse on other dashboards isn't available.
