Using SafetyCulture with SoterAI

What SoterAI can access

Once connected, SoterAI has read-only access to:

• Completed inspections and audit reports
• Inspection templates and their structure
• Issues and corrective actions from inspections
• Action details: title, description, assignee, due date, and status
• Sites and asset information

What SoterAI cannot do

• Cannot create, edit, complete, or delete inspections or templates
• Cannot create, assign, or close actions or issues
• Cannot access organisations or sites your account does not have permission to view
• Cannot manage SafetyCulture account settings, users, or permissions

How to connect SafetyCulture

1. In the SoterAI chat bar, click the puzzle piece icon
2. In the Connectors panel, find SafetyCulture and click Connect
3. An authorisation link will appear — click it
4. Sign in to your SafetyCulture account in the browser window that opens
5. Grant SoterAI read access when prompted
6. Return to SoterAI — SafetyCulture now shows as Connected

Your connection is persistent — you won't need to reconnect each session. If your connection expires, SoterAI will prompt you to reconnect.

What you can ask SoterAI

Once connected, just ask naturally in any chat or workflow:

Finding inspections and issues

• "Find recent inspections for the [site name] site in SafetyCulture"
• "Show me any open issues from the last safety audit in SafetyCulture"
• "What actions are overdue in SafetyCulture?"

Reading and summarising

• "Summarise the findings from the last inspection at [site name]"
• "What were the failed items in the most recent equipment inspection?"
• "List all high-priority actions currently open in SafetyCulture"

Using in workflows

• "Pull the open corrective actions from SafetyCulture and help me prioritise them by risk level"
• "Use the findings from the last SafetyCulture audit to generate a management summary"
• "Compare the last two inspections at [site name] and highlight any recurring issues"

Cross-platform audit analysis

When inspections are conducted in SafetyCulture, ask SoterAI to retrieve the results and use them to generate management summaries, identify trends, or draft corrective action plans — combining SafetyCulture's data capture with SoterAI's analytical capabilities.

Outstanding action tracking

Ask SoterAI to pull all overdue or high-priority actions from SafetyCulture and give you a prioritised view — helping safety managers stay on top of outstanding obligations across multiple sites.

Inspection trend analysis

Ask SoterAI to retrieve recent inspection results from SafetyCulture across multiple sites and identify recurring failed items or areas of concern — turning raw audit data into actionable insights.

Troubleshooting

My SafetyCulture connection expired

Ask SoterAI "Reconnect to SafetyCulture" and follow the authorisation link it provides. If you continue to have difficulties, refer to the SafetyCulture connection guide.

SoterAI can't find an inspection I know exists

Confirm your SafetyCulture account has access to the site or template associated with that inspection. Try specifying the site name or date: "Find inspections at [site name] from [month/year] in SafetyCulture".

SoterAI can access SafetyCulture but shows no actions

Check that your SafetyCulture account has permission to view actions. Actions visibility in SafetyCulture can be restricted by role — contact your SafetyCulture administrator if you believe you should have access.
