File Upload Limits in SoterAI
SoterAI supports uploading photos, videos, documents, and voice input across different parts of the platform. The file types and size limits available to you depend on your plan and where you are uploading — General Chat or Data Sources.
General Chat
You can attach up to 30 files per message in General Chat.

What are EML and MSG files?
SoterAI supports two email file formats for direct upload:
- EML — the standard email export format (RFC 5322), produced by Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and most other mail clients.
- MSG — Microsoft Outlook's native email format, used when saving or exporting emails directly from Outlook or systems integrated with it (such as ImageRight).
When you upload an .eml or .msg file, SoterAI processes the complete email — including the subject line, sender, body text, and any attachments inside it (PDFs, images, documents). This makes both formats particularly useful for claims correspondence, regulatory emails, and any workflow where email evidence needs to be analysed.
