Artifacts: Interactive Dashboards is live

Product Release
3 August 2026

You can now build interactive dashboards directly from the SoterAI chat, with live charts and summary cards in a panel beside your conversation — without learning a separate builder or BI tool. We call them Artifacts.

How to create an Artifact

Full guide — creating, refining, and sharing interactive dashboards

What are Artifacts?

Artifacts are the interactive dashboards SoterAI creates from your data on request. Instead of a static chart image, an Artifact is a live, clickable view of your incidents, hazards, risks, claims, or other records — shown in a panel next to the chat so you can explore the numbers while you keep talking to the assistant.

What Artifacts do

Live, interactive charts

Charts you can hover, inspect, and explore — not static images. Tooltips show exact counts, so you can interrogate the data without leaving the chat.

Built from conversation

Describe the dashboard you need in plain language. SoterAI assembles the charts and summary figures for you — no separate builder or BI tool required.

Multi-chart dashboards

Combine trend lines, bar charts, breakdowns by category, and headline summary cards on a single dashboard page — all in one request.

Refineable on demand

Add charts, change breakdowns, or update to the latest data by asking in chat. Every change is handled by the assistant — you describe what you want.

Who it's for

Stop exporting to spreadsheets to make sense of your incident data. Ask SoterAI to build the dashboard and you have a visual summary in seconds.

Turn raw incident data into instant visual insight.

Incident trends over time

Plot incident counts by month or year to spot patterns, identify peak periods, and track progress against targets.

Breakdowns by type, severity, or location

See which categories, sites, or root causes are driving your incident rate — sorted and charted without manual pivot tables.

Headline figures

Surface totals, worst month, most common category, or year-on-year change as summary cards alongside your charts.

How to create an Artifact

    1

    Open a chat in SoterAI

Go to any conversation where you're working with your data — records, uploaded files, or a connected app.

    2

    Describe the dashboard you need

Ask SoterAI for a dashboard using natural language. Be specific about the data and the view you want.

    3

SoterAI builds and opens the Artifact

SoterAI works for a moment, then opens the dashboard in a panel to the right of the chat. The chat stays on the left, so you can keep asking questions while the dashboard is visible.

Example prompts

Build a dashboard of incident counts by month and by type.
Visualise our claims by location as a chart.
Show me a dashboard of incident trends for this year.
Add a severity breakdown to this dashboard.

Dashboard panel controls

When an Artifact is open you'll see three controls at the top-right of the dashboard panel:

Open in full page

Opens the dashboard on its own full-screen page in a new browser tab — ideal for presenting, reviewing, or sharing in detail.

Copies a direct link to the dashboard so you can save it or share it with your team without any additional setup.

Close

Closes the panel. The dashboard isn't lost — it becomes a compact card in the chat that you can reopen at any time.

Closing and reopening Artifacts

When you close the panel with the × icon, the dashboard becomes a compact card in the chat shown at the point in the conversation where it was created. The card displays a document icon, the dashboard's title, a Draft label, and the time it was last updated.

To bring the dashboard back, click Open on the card — the panel reopens exactly as before.

Because closed dashboards stay in the conversation as cards, you can create several Artifacts in one chat and reopen whichever you need later — keeping long conversations tidy without losing any work.

Things to know

Snapshots, not live-sync

Each Artifact reflects the data at the time it was built. If your underlying data changes, ask SoterAI to rebuild or update the dashboard to pull in newer records.

Read-only visualisation

Artifacts show your data in charts and summary cards — they don't change any incidents, hazards, risks, or claims in the underlying system.

Build time is a little longer

Assembling a dashboard is more involved than a text reply, so give SoterAI a moment to finish — especially for dashboards with multiple charts.
